Progressive Definition of What he Holy Spirit is not.
For a Protestant Christian, “What is a Holy spirit or the Holy Spirit?”
If you try and get a Protestant minister to explain what the Holy Spirit is
he probably will tell you “The Spirit of God” This is a circular definition
and no help at all.
The definitions given above depend on themselves, but are not circular.

If you ask a Catholic priest he should gladly tell you “The Third Person of
the Trinity” This will be party true.
If you ask a Jewish rabbi he might say, “God’s Word in the Torah”. This will
be partly true.
If you ask a philosophic contemplative Christian he should say, “The Spirit
of Truth” ,This also is partly true. The full realization of the Father and
the Son dwelling inside of us. But, this leaves you with the question, “What
do you mean by Truth?” “It can be defined a lot of different ways. “Which of
these ways is the one that is ‘Holy’ or ‘Divine’?”
If someone, even a minister or priest or rabbi, just tells you things like
this or that and does not explain them further, I don’t think it is makes
sense for them to say this or that is the full explanation of what or who is
a Holy spirit or The Holy Spirit.

One progressively indicated and explained definition of what the Holy Spirit
is which you can understand yourself (helped by the Bible or the Word of
God)
and without the help of a Protestant or Catholic or Jewish minister:
Jesus Christ Himself has told us that He is not this person, but that
somehow
we can expect this Person to become known by us if we ask for his help. What
are some divinely ordered steps of contemplative thinking we can take,
studying Scripture, living just like Jesus Christ did, repenting of and
confessing our sins, and outside of the Church and depending only of God to
discover this help?
1) When a mind and a body are joined together with each other the
combination is called a “ spirit”
2) When a spirit and God are joined together it is called a human “man”
or a “woman”.
3) What God (The Father and the Son) creates outside of our human mind
and a body for us to experience together is called the “world”. When the
body
and the mind and the spirit is taken away from the world it is called
a “soul”.
4) A man or a woman of (dwelling and living in communicationwith) God
set apart from the world is called “A Holy spirit”.
5) God (The Father and the Son) dwelling inside of a man or women who
are living in the world and representing God to ourselves and to others is
called “The Holy Spirit”
