Subject: Who was Jesus Christ's Guru?

What human being, alive now and then, and yet to be alive in us, was the
human spiritual teacher of Our Lord Jesus when He was growing up in Israel?

The answer might surprise You (it is given in the Gospel of John Chapter 14)!

It was His own True Self who carries the realized, in all of us, Truth of His
Spirit (the Holy Spirit).

But who is this person, that is His Self?

Surprise it is You when you request or carry this Holy Spirit to dwell inside
of you...or me.

This person is the Lord or fully enlightened Director of Divine Life inside
of our minds and bodies.

But, don't get excited about your own powers of being One with God too
quickly.

The paradox is that the powers of our Human Divine Self, the Holy Spirit
which results from our becoming One with God, only manifests Himself when we
give up our limited, more easily understood, and more easily followed human
intellectual self.

He only manifests HimSelf as Apt Speech (the Word of God as one Methodist
minister was explaining to us at Vanderbilt Divinity School last October)
when we are silent of our own speech and listening for Him or Her to tell us
what to say. He only shows up when we most need Him, not just when things are
going along pretty well, which really is a comfort when you think about it.
He or She only makes themselves known sometimes when we think its already too
late and that there is nothing anyone can do to make things right.
We can call upon His Name as instructed to do in the Bible for healing, but
if we aren't willing to give up our own idea of what He or She is we will
never find Him or Her. He is there walking along, very slowly, beside us
throughout eternity, on the long dusty road our souls have travelled to get
to where we are now. But, if we do not slow down and take the time to ask Him
who He is or where He thinks we are and should be going, we will very quickly
walk right on by right past Him.

"Be still, and know that most important Truth we can understand in our lives,
that:
Jesus Christ dwelling in us is Christ Jesus
[and that Christ Jesus dwelling in us is Jesus Christ]."
