Chant to be sung before and after* transmission of the teaching of the 12
verses in the Mandukya Upanishad

OM Shanti Shanti Shanti

Bhadram karnebhih srinayamah devah

(may our ears hear what is blessed and good)

Bhadram pasyemak-sh-abhhir-yajatrah

(may our eyes see what is blessed and good)

Sthir-air-angai-s-tush-tuvamsa stanubhih

(may our spiritual bodies, strong of limb, stand upright while)

vyasema devahitam yadayuh

(giving worship to the Gods)

Svasti na indro vriddhasaravah

(Hail to indra (Lord of heaven) who hears the waves in the senses)

Svasti nah pushah visvadevah

(Hail to the nourishment that comes from the divinity of all the world)

Svasti nastarksyo aristenanemih

(Hail to the great and strong protection (intellectual) from God and Christ
living in heaven above us)

Svasti no brihaspatirdadhatu.

(Hail to its great strides and swift motion).

Shanti Shanti Shanti

OM May Peace dwell in me, May Peace dwell in you, May Peace dwell in us
both.

* There is a tradition for both the Hindu (Sanskrit) and Hebrew prayers that
they begin and end with a prayer for Peace. This is linguistic evidence that
both these religions (Vedanta and Judaism) came from a common origin. The
fact that both Arabaic and Hebrew are read from right to left is powerful
evidence that the two religions using these two languages also are
fundamentally related.

another translation of lines 5-8 of this Peace Chant can be found
at http://www.celextel.org/108upanishads/dattreya.html
which gives another good English language translation of the
Dattreya Upanishad (a minor Upanishad)

"Om! May the all-knowing Sun bless us!
May Garuda (our self's Vishnu's incarnation as a white eagle)
, the thunderbolt against evil, bless us!
May Brihaspati grant us well-being!"

Then further along in the Upanishads follow, for those initiated into the
meaning of the seed sounds (see the book by our self Swami
Vishnudevanandaji, "Yoga and Meditation") the 1,6,8,12,16 syllable
healing mantra peace chants of the first guru of the Hindu's (who is called
by them the Lord Dattreya
...and was recently invoked in a nation of Africa by our prayer friend, the
present Pope Benedict as "The God who is One in Three (by means of the Holy
Spirit)")

Translation of Invocation and the first two verses in the Mundukya Upanishads

Hari OM
May we see with divine eyes what we hear, through grace, with divine ears!
May we enjoy the life God gives us to live!
May we use our strength to praise Him/Her inside us all!
May the God of heaven give us prosperity!
May He nourish and support us with what is good for us!
May good fortune comes quickly from He who is near!
May our God who protects the great protect us also!

Hari OM

OM (the word) is all of this!
Here is it's further explanation:
All that is past, present, future is OM(truly).
All that which is beyond our (triple) conception of time is OM (truly).

All of this is Brahmin (reality).
This self ( the Atman our supreme Self/individuality) is reality (Brahma,
The non_dual Creator and Heavenly God of us all).
This Individuality/Self Has four parts (aspects, quarters, feet,
phases,conditions*)

*God's Light shines inside of us in these four parts as:
1) The Light of the One increasing
2)The Light of the One without a second
3)The Light if the One which transforms and glorifies us in each other 4)The
Light of the One which discriminates us out of the world in order to dwell in
God

Dear Self,
Hari OM

May the Light of God surround you and shine inside if you.
May the Love of God enfold you and motivate you represent Him/Her to others.
May the Power of God protect you and transform you.
May the Presence of God overwatch you and support you.

Hari Om dear Self... Hallowed be Your name. I show You, Lord of all, what
pervades. I speak unto You about what dwells in us all that sorrow may be
dispelled from us all. I wait with faith upon Your Truth to be realized
inside of me in order that I can help you lead us all forward in it. I have
faith that Your power and presence inside of me can help me fulfill the
promises that have been spoken already. My soul waits upon the Lord. More
than the watchman waits! May God bless us all for happiness. May God protect
and support us all through our faith in Him. May the God who pervades and
saves us all be our Truth. May Our Father who dwells in heaven have His will
done here on earth inside of all of humankind. Hari Om Hari Om Hari Om. Amen.

Besides the Divine Life society booklet by Swami Sivanandaji on this
Upanishad, the Oxford U. translation and commentary by Hume, the book
"Mandukya Upanishad" by our own previous self, the kriya yogi expert, Swami
Paramahamsa Yoganandaji is the best reference to explain these teachings.

An ancient Sanskrit, teaching, poem (the Mandukya Upansihad, verses 10, 11
in short) about God's will... God (Hari OM) is ma-ayam(not this material
world), ma-ya(not that dream world), mari (not me the perceiver of both), ma-
ma (not not).

After the denial, comes the affirmation song; Purnam adah (God's Presence is
completely in this), purnam idam (It is also in that). forever
purnam, adah;
purnam, idam;
purnat purnam udachyate (from this fullness of God's presence comes that
fullness)
purnasya purnam adaya (when this fullness is taken away)
purnam eva vashishyate (that fullness remains)

Subject: formula for meditating on and realizing God's inner and outer peace existing inside of his name OM
Author: Andrew W. Harrell

What is the formula for meditation on OM?
What is the forumula for realizing the peace of God,
and peace from God that dwells inside of the divine word OM?

Here are two different ones from Swami Sivananadaji's books;
Fourteen Lessons on Raja Yoga &
Meditaiton on the Mandukya Upanishad:

this one procees from out in the World into and inside our immortal self

I) I AM all pervading immortal Soul OM OM OM Gabriel
I AM infinity, eternity, immortality OM OM OM Raphael
I AM existence, consciousness, bliss OM OM OM Michael

so does this one

II) All-pervading ocean of light I am... OM OM OM
Light of Lights I am ... OM OM OM Father God I am
Sun of suns I am ... OM OM OM Jesus Christ I am
Infinity I am ... OM OM OM Holy Spirit I am
Pure Chit (consciousnes) I am ... OM OM OM Shiva I am
All-pervading infinite light I am ... OM OM OM Vishnu I am
Vyapaka (witness), Paripurna (highest fullness), Jyotirmaya (the light of
that), Brahman (divine reality) I am ... OM OM OM divine reality and
truth I am

this one start at a fixed point (where we were in the last) and proceeds
farther inward inside ourself

III) Absolute is the only reality (Brahma Satyam) ... OM OM OM
Aham Brahmasi (I AM Brahmin...
the great I AM awakens me to God's truth that is you and me) ...
OM OM OM
I am all pervading pure consciousness ... OM OM OM
I am the living Truth (satyam and rritam) ... OM OM OM
Akhanda Ekarasa Chinmatroham
(I am one unbroken state of pure consciousness) ... OM OM OM
I am the living Reality (sat and brahmin) ... OM OM OM
Sat-Chid-Ananda Svarupoham
I am God's form of existence, consciousness, bliss ... OM OM OM
Chinmayaoham (I am that mass of knowledge) ... OM OM OM
Asangoham I am unattached ... OM OM OM
Bhumananda Svarupoham
I am God's form in which dwells infinite fullness
and happiness ,,, OM OM OM
Kevaloham
I exist alone as Gods form of all form ... OM OM OM
(concept of a concept)

Some differences between God and Christ and me and God and Chris in me.:
Some Christian Hindu prayers in this regard:
Dear God lead me away from unreality and toward reality,
Away from untruth and toward truth,
Away from darkness and toward light.
Be the fullness of this [in me] and that [in the world].
And, when this fullness is taken away [from that], may its fullness remain
in me [in this].
Hari Om Tat Sat.

There are differences between God and Christ and me.
God is in me, but I AM not God
God does not have a Father, I do.
God does not have a Mother, I do.
God does not have brothers and sisters I do.
Both He and I can have a wife and a Son
Sometimes Christ can be not me, not this, and not not.
God is not me, not not, but is often this.
Hari Om Tat Sat.

In addition to being not me, not this, not not... often God is not me, you,
not not, but is this [Himself or Herself in us]. OM Tat Sat
