Subject: 2013 Vicksburg Mayoral Election

We pray for the candidates in the upcoming May 7 mayoral primary and June
election. With all the local scandal, lawsuits about adultery, FBI sting
operations about bribery, allegations that local republications are running
straw candidates in the democratic party for their own purposes, lawsuits
about candidates trying to bypass the election registration laws, cover-up of
past association with prostitution... along with the bankruptcy of gaming
operations and lack of understanding of who owns real estate and gaming in
the town... In my opinion it is important that the candidates be more honest
and open about where the money to finance their campaigns is coming from. I
pray, that God will help us in these problems and all of this should come to
the light of day so voters can make a good decision about who to vote for who
can best help our community be a good model representing honest and
prosperous government in the state. Not doing just holds us all back by
lowering our hopes and expectations of being able to improve ourselves.
